Scope: US public companies filing with the SEC (EDGAR).

List a filer's recent filings, optionally filtered by form type and filing-date range.

Endpoint: https://data.sec.gov/submissions/CIK{cik10}.json (the filings.recent block · ~1000 most recent filings)

Args: cik: CIK (zero-padded or not) or "CIK…" form (e.g. "0000320193" for Apple, "0000789019" for Microsoft, "0001046179" for TSMC). form_types: filter to specific form(s) — common: "10-K" (annual report), "10-Q" (quarterly), "8-K" (current event), "DEF 14A" (proxy), "4" (insider transactions), "SC 13G" (5%+ holder). Case-insensitive. Pass None to include every form. date_from / date_to: YYYY-MM-DD filing-date bounds (inclusive). limit: max rows returned (default 40).

Returns dict with filings — each row has accession_number, form, filing_date, report_date, primary_document, primary_document_description, is_xbrl, is_inline_xbrl, original_url (direct link to the primary document on www.sec.gov/Archives), plus older_file_pointers for filings older than the recent 1000. License: US Public Domain.
