Live server-side full-text search via CKAN Action API 3
(package_search). Unlike SG's broken v2 REST search, UK CKAN
FTS works properly — Solr syntax supported: quoted phrases,
boolean AND/OR, wildcards.
Args:
query: Solr full-text query. Empty string browses all
(returns sorted by metadata_modified desc).
organization: exact org slug filter (e.g.
"office-for-national-statistics"). Discover
slugs via uk_list_organizations.
format: exact resource format filter (e.g. "CSV", "GeoJSON",
"SHP", "XLS"). Matches ANY resource on the dataset.
limit: max results (default 20, hard cap 100).
Returns dict with data: [{name, title, org, license, license_title, num_resources, formats, updated, url}, ...]
sorted by CKAN default (relevance if query set, updated desc
otherwise) and note with total match count.
License: portal default Open Government Licence v3
(OGL-UK-3.0) · per-dataset license_id may override. ~41k of
64k datasets have null license_id and default to portal OGL v3
by T&C — do NOT silently backfill; check per-row license.
