data.gov.uk: how do you tell dataset-level licence from portal default?
About 41k of the 64k datasets just inherit the portal's OGL default rather than declaring their own licence.
On dataset pages here it actually says which is which —「portal default」vs declared — which saved me a compliance email. Anyone know if the API exposes that distinction directly?

The catalog passes through licence source as a field — look for licenceSource in the detail response. Saved me the same email!
