Leaf to air temperature difference and leaf-level photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) in Afromontane species in common garden plantations at two elevations in Rwanda, 2025

This dataset contains high-resolution leaf thermocouple measurements and leaf-level photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) data for eight Afromontane and transitional forest species across a tropical elevational gradient in the Albertine Rift in Rwanda. Measurements were conducted in two common garden plantations with contrasting mean annual temperatures (MAT) of 15.2°C and 20.0 °C. The dataset includes high-resolution (1-minute interval) measurements of leaf to air temperature difference (ΔT) and leaf-level photosynthetically active radiation (PAR). A second dataset was derived from the 1-minute measurements through aggregation and averaging procedures. This dataset, aggregated at 10-minute intervals, includes mean leaf-to-air temperature difference, mean leaf-level PAR, the number of observations contributing to each averaging period, leaf temperature, air temperature, and relative humidity.
